TEAMtalk 21 April 2023
On Sunday at 3pm, our phones will ring an alarm. It's a planned alarm that will test the Government's ability to alert us about imminent danger to life and property. It's good to know that there's a plan but it's also a reminder that we need to prepare. If you know anyone who would rather not receive the alarm call, perhaps you could remind them to switch off their phone (or leave it out of earshot) for a few minutes. For my part, once I hear the test call, I hope I never need to hear the call again.
Sometimes, we need to raise the alarm. I'd like to thank everyone for working so hard to embrace the new safeguarding software, CPOMS. When it comes to safeguarding, we're always on the alert and we should all be confident in what to do. We're reviewing our Safeguarding, Whistleblowing and Reporting Low Level Concerns policy to make sure that it reflects our current situation - the new policies will be shared with you in September. For me, it's all in the planning - plan for the worst and trust that only the best will happen
