TEAM Collaboration
Working and Learning in Collaboration
Schools working within the Trust have a professional, collaborative working partnership. We seek to identify best practice and expertise from within our own schools and encourage excellence to be shared.
Working together, our schools organise an action-packed programme of collaboration activities each term. The focus is always on three key areas of development:
- A project, competition or activity to support the wellbeing of each child in our schools
- Staff development and CPD to nurture excellence in teaching
- Leadership development and support to nurture further growth within our school leaders.
Schools within our local community are welcome to take part in these events at no charge.
School leaders may wish to access the extensive support network within which the Trust operates and, again, this can be arranged without the need to join the Trust.
If you would like to work on a strategic level, you might just prefer to talk through risk assessments, SEN/Inclusion support for a child (or group of children) utilising our expertise in this area or learn more about our Early Help Service, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Collaboration 2022-23
Principals
Throughout the year we will have numerous opportunities for Principals to come together to discuss and collaborate on a range of topics that they agree are important for them and their school to work.
Possible themes include (but are not limited to): reading, writing, spelling, attendance, subject leadership and anything else you would to collaborate on.
These collaboration meetings will take place at Stubbin Wood School from 12pm to 1pm on:
- 12 October 2022
- 18 January 2023
- 17 May 2023
Staff
We offer collaboration events for other members of staff as well. This provides the opportunity for staff from different schools to come together to collaborate on different topics, learning from each other and developing ideas.
These collaboration sessions will follow set themes that we believe are important and will benefit from collaborative work. These sessions will be targeted at specific staff and will run for a full day and then there will be a 1 hour session (4pm - 5pm) for all staff who wish to attend.
- Reading for pleasure (targeted at english coordinators, phonics coordinators and SLT)
- Being Brilliant (targeted at leadership teams and any outstanding teachers)
- Parent Engagement (targeted at parent engagement leads)
Staff collaboration events will take place on the following dates, however it is yet to be confirmed which sessions will take place on which date.
- 14 November 2022
- 6 March 2023
- 10 July 2023
Students
Students from different schools will also be invited to join in on the collaboration. We have planned three dates across the year that will be themed days for all students to get involved.
- 9 November 2022 - Harry Potter
- 22 March 2023 - World Ocean Day
- 21 June 2023 - Stories from around the World
If you would like to get involved with any of our collaboration events, please contact Samantha Chadburn, PA to the CEO (s.chadburn@stubbinwood.teameducation.org).
