Principal, Stubbin Wood School & Nursery
Pay Scale starting at L19 (subject to negotiation)
The TEAM Education Trust is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and skilled professional to be the Principal at Stubbin Wood School & Nursery, based at the main site in Shirebrook and the role will cross all associated sites
Our ideal candidate might be looking for their first step to headship or be an experienced leader looking to take on a multi-sited specialist school setting; the ideal candidate we seek is an individual who will bring energy, passion and professional knowledge to our school.
Stubbin Wood School and Nursery has 185 brought places with a dedicated team of staff. The commissing arrangement spans four Las currently. The school is split currently across two sites and has strong links with its co-located partners. In November a third site will open in Mansfield and will develop a further co-located relationship and strengthen the working partnership with Nottinghamshire LA.
The successful candidate will have strategic experience and the ability to inspire children and ensuring they are working with families and wider professionals, building on current relationships. We are looking for someone who is an outstanding classroom practitioner who recognises high quality pupil first teaching and learning and has high aspirations for young people with additional needs. We seek a candidate who will be keen to empower everyone to reach their full potential in our fully inclusive school and maintain the flagship Inclusion Quality Mark status.

EYFS/ Key Stage One Teacher - Whaley Thorns Primary & Nursery
Pay negotiable based on experience, Full time, Maternity cover
This vacancy is for a EYFS/ Key Stage One Teacher to cover maternity leave. The post holder will demonstrate essential professional characteristics and will be an excellent Early Years or Key Stage One teacher who has high expectations of all pupils. It is imperative that the successful candidate can build effective relationships, demonstrate sound curriculum knowledge and assess and respond effectively. The post holder must have the ability to develop curiosity, inspire inquisitive minds and have the capacity to embrace each unique child. Placement in terms of EYFS or Key Stage One will be dependent upon the skills of the successful applicant.

Assistant IT Manager
Full time (52 weeks), Grade 11 (£33,489 – 36,788 pro-rata)
This role will be based at Stubbin Wood School with requirement to work from other school locations within the Trust and those that we work with.
The post holder will demonstrate essential professional characteristics to support the IT Manager and Trust Executive and Central Teams deliver on a range of projects within a growing Multi Academy Trust.
They will be an IT professional who demonstrates through effective communication, teamwork, skills and knowledge; a responsibility to deliver business as usual systems and processes and support the Trust’s aspirations and goals through delivery of key projects and initiatives.
The Assistant IT Manager will ensure that IT assets including infrastructure, devices and software; support the Trust’s objectives teaching and learning opportunities for all students/pupils.
They will also support the IT Manager in leading an IT team, manage external contracts and support internal and external stakeholders.

Careers and Enterprise Co-ordinator
Full Time, 41 weeks per year, Grade 9 (£25,753 - £27,629 pro-rata)
This role is based at Stubbin Wood School, a SEND specialist school based in Shirebrook, and will support students at the school site. The role will provide 1 day per week support to other schools within TEAM Education Trust.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of Careers Advice and Information Guidance and clear understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks. Through the application of excellent administration and communication skills, the successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Support young people with a diverse range of SEND needs to enable each learner to receive relevant and timely careers advice and guidance.
- Plan schemes of work for careers education and linking enterprise activities within the school
- Brief and support teachers in the delivery of an enrichment curriculum to ensure careers is integral to the school ethos
- Support teachers and parents with the provision of information and advice
- Work closely with the KS4 & KS5 teams to link advice and guidance into ECHP plans
- Organise parent information events/careers fairs & ensure that information on the school website provides a useful information resource
- Establish strong links with local further education providers
- Represent the school at careers network meetings and bring learning back into the school and Trust
- Support Stubbin Wood with progression towards achieving the Career Mark quality mark.

1 x Finance Officer
1 x 16 hours, 52 weeks

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and resourceful School Finance Officer to join our friendly and efficient central team and assist the CFO with financial duties across TEAM Education Trust and Stubbin Wood School. This is initial a temporary contract to cover maternity leave but with the potential to be made permanent following a review.
Working with the CFO, as part of the central team, you will play a key part in the delivery of a comprehensive range of financial services for a growing number of schools.
The postholder’s main area of responsibilities are:
- Undertake the accurate accounting of all aspects of academy finance in line with financial regulations.
- Understand all aspects of sales & purchase ledger function
- Analysing funding streams, to ensure they are correctly accounted for i.e. income/expenditure streams for academy services; after-school clubs, class visits/visitors and wrap-around care.
- Assisting the CFO in budgets preparation and updates
- Analyse Parent Pay and Credit Cards transaction
- Assisting in Audit preparation

This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in short term planning and recording, and the management/ preparation of resources. Individual staff will support, with others, an agreed area/ school initiative through attendance at suitably arranged meetings in school time, collective completion of agreed tasks, reports, records or other information as required and as part of this small group.

Primary Apprentice

This role will be based at Stubbin Wood School, Shirebrook.
Duties will include:

Specialist Computer Teacher
Full Time, Permanent, Term time only, M3 (£29,664) + 1 SEN point and 1 TLR
This role will be based at Stubbin Wood School. The post holder will demonstrate essential professional characteristics, and in particular will be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well within special educational needs.
The postholder will design and implement an effective curriculum to support:
- Computing
- Coding
- Use of technologies
- Communication
- Online safety
- Technology usage across the curriculum
- All key stages from birth to post 16.
- Innovate use of technologies such as robotics, multi-modal communication (for example Green Screen), programable hardware
- Development of coding within the curriculum, both block based and computer line interface CLI.
