Consultation on School Admission Arrangements for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
Schools, parents, carers, local residents and businesses are all invited to give their views on planned changes to admissions at a number of schools within TEAM Education Trust.
In accordance with the School Admissions Code (2021); when changes are proposed to admission arrangements all admission authorities must consult on their admission arrangements that will apply for school applications the following school year. Where the admission arrangements have not changed from the previous year, there is no requirement to consult subject to the requirement that admission authorities must consult on their admission arrangements at least once every 7 years, even if there have been no changes during that period.
TEAM Education Trust has opened up consultation for anyone who may have an interest in alterations to the admissions arrangements for its mainstream schools. As the Trust is the admissions authority for its schools, it has adopted a new Trust-wide policy which requires schools to adopt the standard admissions policy statements of their given local authority.
The need for this change arises from academisation and future growth, allowing new schools to TEAM Education Trust to continue applying their local authority practice following academisation. You can view the proposed admissions policy below.
The consultation process runs until 31 January 2025.
